Joseph Imre (Imre Jozsef) was born in Ottawa, Canada. Joseph is an historian, researcher, and entrepreneur. Joseph is an active member of the Hungarian community and serves on the board of directors of several Hungarian organizations.

We commemorated the 1956 Revolution with a short programme at the City Hall of Ottawa as well. The Hungarian flag was raised in front of the building by dr. Mária Vass-Salazar, Ambassador to Canada.

After nearly six years of service Monsignor Leo Frank celebrated his last holy mass at the Hungarian Catholic Church in Ottawa. At this occasion Dr. Mária Vass-Salazar honoured Monsignor Leo with the Hungarian Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit.
