The LePage ad in 1981

The home of the Hungarian community in Ottawa was built in 1979. The 279 m
2 (3000 sq.ft.) building was raised on a 30,5 m × 53,3 m (100 ft × 175 ft) size land. It was made of concrete bricks, and originally it was used for storage. The first floor was part of the original design right from the beginning, and it was used for offices. In 1981, the entire property was listed at $99,000 when it was bought by the Hungarian community. The founding members transformed it into its present day shape within a year.
