We are happy to announce that Annamaria’s Kitchen is coming to Ottawa on November 7–8, 2026, to teach two wonderful days of traditional Hungarian baking.
We are delighted to host Annamaria at our Hungarian Community Centre, where she will share her knowledge, techniques, and love of authentic Hungarian pastries. ❤️

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7
LIVE HAND-STRETCHED STRUDEL & TÖPÖRTYŰS POGÁCSA CLASS
🕙 Morning Class: 10:00 AM
🕒 Afternoon Class: 3:00 PM

This will be a truly hands-on Hungarian baking experience!
Annamaria will teach you how to prepare authentic Hungarian strudel dough completely from scratch. Most importantly, every participant will have the opportunity to stretch the strudel dough by hand!
She will guide you step by step and demonstrate the traditional Hungarian technique of making and stretching the dough until it becomes beautifully thin and delicate.
You will also learn how to make töpörtyűs pogácsa — traditional Hungarian pork crackling scones, a beloved savoury specialty. 🥨

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8
KRÉMES & KIFLI CLASS
🕙 Morning Class: 10:00 AM
🕒 Afternoon Class: 3:00 PM

On Sunday, Annamaria will teach you how to make traditional Hungarian krémes, including the delicate pastry from scratch.
You will also learn how to make traditional Hungarian salted kifli, another much-loved favourite of Hungarian baking.

$98 per class.
🎟️ For those who would like to attend both days, we are offering a special discounted price of $180 for both classes.

In each session, all participants will enjoy a hot lunch or dinner, and you will also be able to take home the delicious pastries you make during the class — including your hand-stretched strudel, kifli, and krémes. ❤️
