Heveder Band, Norbert & Zsuzsanna Busai 
The Heveder band was founded in 2002. They come to us as part of their North American tour. In their home town Sepsiszentgyörgy, Szeklerland, they are the hosts of regular táncház, and they will be playing during the Csipke workshop of Hungarian folk dance in Michigan. This time there are two guest musicians touring with them:
Kodoba Florin, the concertmaster of the Palatka group, who happens to be the son of the famous concertmaster from Magyarpalatka, Márton Kodoba.
Koncz Gergely is a member of the Tükrös band, and he likes to partner with many other folk musicians in order to finess and expand his technique.
Norbert and Zsuzsanna Busai are already known to our community. Just like in 2013, it's going to be a joy to see them dance again.

Meet Ms. Katalin Kondor, the former president of the Hungarian Radio (Hungary), and the Chief Editor of the popular radio show "Monogram". On Friday night, Ms. Kondor will be the guest of the OHCC for dinner at 18.00, after which she will make a presentation entitled "The Hungarian Press after 1989" if there will be enough interest among those present.
The admission is free, but we will be thankful for donations to cover her travel expenses. |
